Fantasy Football: There is no need to doubt Jordy Nelson in Week 3 rankings

Jordy Nelson is a top 3 Week 3 option
Now that Week 2 is thankfully over many of us are looking forward to Week 3 rankings and a “fresh start”. Wowza was Week 2 as terrible for you all as it was for me? Aside from DFS and a few leagues I owned Jordy Nelson in I got pummeled in a majority of leagues and lost Jamaal Charles in three of them. Thankfully it is a new week and rankings time. One thing is for sure, Jordy Nelson is an elite receiver, and there is no reason to doubt that anymore.

Jordy was targeted a whopping 16 times, and caught 9 of those passes for 209 yards. He also hauled in a touchdown. This week he has a favorable matchup against the Detroit Lions, but in all reality everyone should know by now that Jordy is matchup proof. He comes in as my No. 3 receiver overall this week.

Giovani Bernard remains a top five option in Week 3 and he didn’t disappoint at all in Week 2 where I had him ranked there as well. This week he comes in as my No.3 favorite running back. Oddly enough he isn’t dominating with the running game, but his receiving abilities are keeping him extremely valuable and a fantasy weapon.

Finally, I have Drew Brees topping out the quarterback list for Week 3. He is facing off against the Minnesota Vikings who are indefinitely without their star player Adrian Peterson. The Saints offense is dynamic either way, but this game should be a route of epic proportions.

With that, enjoy the rankings, keep an eye on them over at fantasypros.com or here as well, as they will likely get tweaked a tad here or there. As always feel free to follow me on twitter @fantsychillpony and ask any questions you feel like, or berate me for my terrible rankings. Good luck to everyone this week and thanks for reading and using the rankings on Fakepigskin.com!
