Ryan Giggs, Manchester United

After 22 consecutive seasons, including time as a player-manager with the release of Davis Moyes this season, Giggs has formally announced his retirement as a player. The most decorated player in United history will continue with the club however, having taken on assistant manager duties under newly appointed club boss Louis van Gaal. Giggs has a list of accolades with the club including 632 Premier League appearances, 168 competitive goals scored for United including being the only player to have scored in 21 consecutive PL seasons and 35 trophies won across all competitions.
