MyFantasyLeague MFL10 – Sportable Draft

Sportable was nice enough to sponsor an “experts” MFL10 draft over on MyFantasyLeague.com along with pick by pick commentary from everyone drafting.

You can check out my MFL10 primer article here if you aren’t familiar with what a MFL10 league is.  Really quick primer, draft only league, 22 roster spots, best ball format (automatically picks best lineup each week), most points end of the year wins it all.

You can follow along as the draft happens here as well as my comments and others for each pick after they are taken over on Sportable

To start things off I had pick 11, I drafted Julio Jones with that pick, and Le’Veon Bell at pick 2.2

I like to keep a balance to start off unless great value falls to me to start.  By staying somewhat balanced, I am able to grab whomever falls value wise in each round

My comments on those 2 picks

Julio Jones:

This is probably the easiest pick I can make all year.  WIth Gordon essentially gone, Julio is the LAST Top WR/RB/TE that is out there. Why I made the pick:
* Julio will bounce back this year with the help of a rebounding Matty Ice
* Roddy will be better as well, and that can only help Mr. Jones by taking off some of the coverage
* But the two biggest reasons for the big season, no more Gonzo and a suspect running game

Le’Veon Bell:

This was a tough call, and kind of hate this pick unless Marshall falls [which does happen, less now with Gordon out].

I could go one of two ways here, best WR [Alshon] or pick one of the next tier RBs, but they all have their question marks. My thinking on the top backs:
* He isn’t a top guy, but PPR gold and can he do it again?
* DeMarco Murray – can he stay healthy? Probably a little higher upside
* Gio – Do you want him as your top back, even in PPR?
* Lynch – Can he be a top guy again, will Turbin/C Michael take away any carries?
