David Silva, Manchester City – Midfielder

Silva had a rather impressive performance despite Manchester City’s 2-3 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday. After falling behind 0-2 after 26 minutes of play and the big blow of losing Yaya Toure to injury, Silva got City back into it when he seemingly took control of the action and got momentum going their way. Silva picked up a tap-in goal on a pass from substitute James Milner early in the second half to cut the deficit in half. He then leveled things and was awarded an assist on what ended up being ruled a Glen Johnson own goal.
