Daily Fantasy Basketball Notes 3/19

Philadelphia 76ers v New Orleans Pelicans

Wednesday night offers another full slate of exciting NBA action. Only three of the ten games have double digit spreads, and almost half of the games tonight have totals over 210 points. Tonight’s card is a little more tricky with potential blowouts in several key games. The key to tonight is not to try to stack too many players in those potential blowout games, yet try to find the one or two players that still can give you tons of fantasy points even if they sit a good portion of the 4th quarter. The good news is since 40% of the games have totals of at least 210 points, lots of fantasy points are still in play.

Last night was a weird night in the fantasy world. I had 302 fantasy points and didn’t cash in any of my games. However, the night before I cashed in four out of five games with 273 fantasy points. I hope tonight brings me the 300 fantasy plus point total, which will have you cashing on most nights for sure.  Once again, I will be sticking to my philosophy and not using any of the top priced players. In fact,  the highest price player I am using is $8,800 tonight. I will be keeping to the theme that a more well balanced lineup will get you cashing more games then trying to stack your team with one or two high priced studs.

Since Saint Patrick Day just passed and New York was feeling very green (my favorite color), let’s keep the green flowing tonight in the form of vitamin C/AKA Cash. Tonight’s starts are three players that total around $21,000 on Draft Kings leaving me a ton of money left for my remaining five players. All prices listed are according to Draft Kings $50,000 salary daily league.

Players To Start:

Kawhi Leonard: – $6,700 – Kawhi has been on my sit list several times this year with good reason. Now he has been filling up the stat sheet lately.  Over last seven games he is averaging 13.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2 APG,2 SPG, and 1 BPG while playing big minutes for Pops. Now as an added bonus, he is playing one of the worst defensive teams in the league the Lakers, where tonights total is over 220 points. Lot’s of fantasy points to go around and Kawhi will be approaching 40 plus fantasy points tonight. Sugar Ray Leonard will be plenty sweet in your lineup tonight.

Tyreke Evans – $7,000 – Tyreke has been a beast the last several weeks. The only thing that stopped him from producing big numbers was the flu last week. Over last six games he is averaging 23 PPG, 6 RPG, 7 APG, 1.5 SPG, and .5 BPG while playing 35 plus minutes a game. Tyreke now gets a Toronto team playing the second night of a back to back where they had to play overtime last night. Play the freak Tyreke tonight.

Kenneth Faried – $7,600 –  Kenneth has been one of the hottest players in the NBA. He looks like a man playing against a bunch of boys lately. Over last seven games he is averaging 23 PPG, 11 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1 SPG, and 1 BPG while only costing $7,600! I think someone needs to call the police because playing Faried at that price is highway robbery. To add insult to injury, he is playing a Detroit team missing Drummond tonight. Faried can seriously have a 20/20 night. He is by far my top play tonight.

Bonus Start:

Joakim Noah – $8,800 – Last time Noah played Philadelphia, he went for 21 points 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Expect more of the same tonight. Noah has been a beast this year and would be the MVP of league if not for KD and LBJ.  Furthermore,  over last seven games he is averaging 15 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 8 APG, 1 SPG, and 2,5 BPG. Play Joakim the dream tonight.

Players To Sit:

Enes Kanter – $5,500 –  Has had an up and down season this year, which is on the down side now. Over last two games he is averaging a pathetic 8.5 PPG, 10 RPG, 1 APG, and 3.5 turnovers while his minutes are under 24 now. He plays for a team that its coach doesn’t have a clue. This hurts him a lot since coach alternates who starts between him and Marvin Williams. Now he gets to play one of the top defensive teams tonight. For all my jewish friends, this is one Cantor that will need to see his Rabbi before tonights game and ask him to pray for him.

Jose Calderon – $5,400 – Jose has been playing very bad lately. Over last seven, he is averaging 11 PPG, 2 RPG, 5.5 APG, and 2 turnovers a game. This is not what you would like to see from your starting PG. His price is great for a starting PG averaging over 30 minutes a game, however, his stats stink. Tonight you must just say No Way Jose!!

Henry Sims – $4,300 – Henry had a huge game four starts ago against the Kings 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists,  3 steals, and 2 blocks. I had him and he made me look like a genius. Since that game, playing him has made me look very dumb. Over last three games he is averaging 6 PPG, 7 RPG, 2 APG, and 1 SPG while playing some big minutes. Although, is price is great, stay far away from Henry. This is one Henry that wont be called Henry The Great tonight.
