David Marshall, Cardiff City – Goalkeeper

Cardiff City took an unfortunate result in their visit to Everton when they conceded a goal to Seamus Coleman late into injury time. The story of the match otherwise was Marshall’s play between the sticks. The ‘keeper made four brilliant saves to keep things close for his club, but it was poor luck on goals that Marshall couldn’t do much about. The first goal conceded was deflected off a defender leaving Marshall no chance and the second came on a bit of a mishit from Coleman that sliced it’s way over the diving ‘keeper. Stellar play otherwise.
