Daily Fantasy Basketball Notes 3/12

Wednesday night has another full slate of exciting NBA action tonight. None of the eleven games have double digit spreads, and four of the eleven games have totals of at least 209 points. I am expecting another night of close, competitive and high scoring games tonight. I have been preaching for weeks, when seeing a full slate of NBA games that have no double digit spreads and high totals, you will think your birthday has come early. The key is to take advantage of your early birthday gift. The way to take advantage of your gift is to find lots of value players and keep your lineup balanced throughout instead of spending over 20 percent of your salary on one player. Unless your stud, high value player gets you 50/60 fantasy points, combined with a lower priced player getting you 25/30 fantasy points your team will be seriously handicapped. A stud turning into a dude will probably cost you from cashing on that night? However, if you have a well balanced lineup one player having a off night shouldn’t cost you from cashing as long as the rest of your lineup produces pretty consistent.

Lets make Tonight’s early birthday gifts count and fill your pockets with a whole lot of cash. Tonight’s starts are three player’s that have a total salary of $21,500 leaving me with almost $29,000 to spend on the remaining five players. All prices listed are according to Draft Kings $50,000 salary daily league.

Players To Start:

Amare Stoudemire – $4,900 – Amare has been playing out of his mind lately. Since being inserted into the Knicks starting lineup he looks like he has taken a big drink from the fountain of youth. Over last four games he has averaged 20 PPG, 8 RPG, 1 APG, and 1.5 BPG while playing around 30 minutes a game. Although his price is starting to climb, his $4,900  price is still a steal as his fantasy points per game continue to rise. Amare gets a very poor Boston team tonight playing the second game of a back to back. Expect Amare to get you 35-40 fantasy points tonight.  Stoudemire has the Knick fans yelling that’s ‘Amore’. *UPDATE – AMARE STOUDEMIRE IS OUT TONIGHT. USE JEREMY TYLER INSTEAD*

Kyle Lowry – $8,300 –  Kyle has been one of the most consistent players in the NBA. He continues to produce over 40 fantasy points on a nightly basis. Over the last two games he has even stepped that up averaging 20.5 PPG, 10 RPG, 9 APG, and 2 SPG. Kyle fell one assist short of averaging a tripple double over his last two games. Now Kyle gets a very pathetic Detroit team playing the second game of a back to back. Brandon Jennings should be guarding him tonight which is like Kyle playing one on one basketball by himself. Expect Kyle to be close if not exceed the 50 point fantasy mark tonight. Start Kyle if you want to smile.

Michael Carter – Williams – $8,300 – Michael is another player filling the stat sheet even playing for the worst team in the NBA. Now he gets a very bad Kings team playing the second night of a back to back. Over the last four games, he is averaging 15 PPG, 9 RPG, 7.5 APG, 2.5 SPG, and .5 BPG while playing a ton of minutes. Expect MCW to exceed 40 plus fantasy points tonight.

Players To Sit:

Deron Williams – $7,200 – Deron has been very average lately. Over last seven games, he is averaging 15.5 PPG, 1.5 RPG, 5.5 APG, and 1.5 SPG, while committing around 2 turnovers per game over the last seven games. Deron now gets a very tough Heat team. You can find much better value for $7,200 then Deron. Expect Deron not to be so Devine. Let Devon pine away on your bench.

Brian Roberts – $4000 – Brian has been playing very poor lately.  Over last seven games, he is averaging 12 PPG, 1 RPG, and 2.5 APG, while committing around 2 turnovers a game. Although his price is great, averaging well below 20 fantasy points a game is not. Now he gets to play one of the best defensive teams in the NBA tonight. Even at such a great price brian fantasy numbers tonight won’t be so nice. The rock group Foreigner had a song that best describes Brians play lately ‘COLD AS ICE’. Expect his play tonight to be the same way tonight.

Cortney Lee – $3,600 – Another player who’s stock continues to drop. His price is down to $3,600 which is justified with his poor play.  Over last four games, he is averaging 7 PPG, 2 RPG, 2 APG, and 1 SPG while his minutes continue to drop. He is playing under 25 minutes a game now since Tony Allen has come back from injury. In fact Tony’s numbers are slightly better then Lee’s. Tony is averaging 3 more points per game and 3 more rebounds per came over the last four games as well. This is a complete time share. Avoid Lee even with his cheap price tag.
