Daily Fantasy Basketball Notes 2/13

imageIt’s the last night before the NBA heads to New Orleans for All Star Weekend. After yesterdays flurry of 13 games, tonight is more chill, with just two games to focus on. On to some player selections (this will not be as poetic as @SaidHeHadAStory provided you yesterday)

(note: The salary’s I use come from Draft Street)

Kevin Durant, OKC ($22,784) @ LAL- There really is not much to say about KD anymore.  I can spit numbers at you out the wazoo, but bottom line is that it’s tough not to get him in your lineup on a night when the options are few and far between.  Greatest concern here is possible blowout factor, but Durant could get his in three quarters easily.

Joakim Noah, CHI ($18,101) vs BKN- The other high priced option tonight, Noah comes off his first triple double of 2013-2014.  He has been a DFS force for the last two months or so.  Again, like KD, it’s hard to pass up putting Noah in your lineup tonight, and there are many suitable ways to get them both in.

Reggie Jackson, OKC ($11,288) @ LAL- Jackson has turned his game up a notch lately, averaging 17 points, 6 assists and 1.75 steals over his last four games.  Tonight, he gets a tasty match up with the Lakers,  who in layman’s terms, are bad against, well, everybody.

Kendall Marshall, LAL ($11,566) vs OKC- With Steve Nash out tonight, Marshall returns to a starting gig.  Him and Steve Blake ($13,514) look like the only healthy Laker guards tonight.  It would be surprising not see Marshall collect his 11th double double of the season tonight.

Shawne Williams, LAL ($8,239) vs OKC- Williams is certainly nothing special, but what he is is a healthy body tonight for LA.  He played 36 minutes Tuesday and should see about the same tonight.  Hopefully with the court time, he gets you the production you need.

Jeremy Lamb, OKC ($7,063) @ LAL- Lamb is a talented scorer, the problem is his court time.  He saw 31 minutes of it Tuesday in Portland and put up 19 points and 5 boards.  There is some chance at good PT again tonight vs the Lakers.  Lamb could be a decent cheap option if you want to get KD and Noah in your lineup.

Derek Fisher, OKC ($5,051) @ LAL)- Old man Fisher has been at or above 14.25 DS points in three of his last four, which exceeds value for his cheap price.  He also gets the “revenge” factor game in his favor tonight.

Some other thoughts: Carlos Boozer ($10,980) participated in shoot around this morning.  He is a game time decision tonight, and will start if he plays.  This takes some luster off Taj Gibson ($14,689), who has been tearing it up to the tune of 39.25 DS PPG in the 3 games Boozer has missed.  If Boozer sits, get Taj in.

I stayed away from all Nets and most Bulls.  I can’t figure the Nets out at all and the 185 O/U made me stay away and focus on the later game which has an O/U of 205.5

Good luck to all and enjoy the All Star break
