Daily Fantasy Basketball Notes 1/10

We have a great night of basketball ahead of us. There’s twelve games to look forward to tonight. TWELVE. What a great night of basketball to see almost every team in the league! I am going to keep things short and sweet today, as all of the crew here at FakeRoundball are all recovering from the winter flu. We should be back in the full swing of things by next week.  Now, allons-y with my picks for tonight.

Start ‘Em

Brandon Jennings vs Sixers – I know I sound like a broken record, but Philly is just a bad defensive team. I wouldn’t be opposed to starting anyone else on the Pistons, but Jennings is my guy who I believe will have the big night. Philly is in the bottom three in the league in defending point guards, and Jennings is due for a big game.

Jodie Meeks vs Clippers/Jamal Crawford vs Lakers – Both LA teams have been struggling against shooting guards big time. I think Meeks has better value for the price, but I could see Crawford having a monster game. Either way, it’s hard to go wrong with using either one of these guys.

DeMarcus Cousins vs Magic – Boogie has been playing like the Boogie that everyone has believed he can be the past five games. He has grabbed at least eleven boards in his last five and scored over thirty twice in his past three. Orlando has been terrible against the frontcourt, so expect Boogie to continue the trend of dominating.

Sit ‘Em

Goran Dragic vs Grizzlies – Sitting Dragic has more to do with the Memphis defense than not believing in Dragic…that is not a statement I thought I would be saying before this season started. He has been putting the Suns on his back with Bledsoe out, but that can only go so far. Memphis has been one of the top five teams against point guards the past couple weeks. He could have a nice game, but the pricetag is too high for player in an unfavorable matchup.

Eric Gordon vs Mavericks – EG has been solid for the Pelicans, but not quite the scorer they were hoping for when they acquired him for CP3 years ago. Now, the Pelicans are shopping him around to see what they can get, and I am sure that does not make him happy. Add that to Dallas playing smaller guards really well, and I would be hard pressed to put Gordon in my lineup.
