Fantasy Basketball Notes 11/26

Just four games on the NBA slate tonight but, as per usual, plenty of money available to win on daily sites. The highest over/under of the night is the Golden State/New Orleans game at 207. Of all the spreads tonight, Atlanta is the biggest favorite at 7.5, so there’s not a whole lot of worry about blowouts. I always advise checking out the Vegas lines just to get an idea of what the likely outcomes are for the nights’ games. For that reason, you’ll notice I’m hammering the GS game to try and sap all the points out of a slow night that I can.

So without further ado, here are the guys I will have in my lineup tonight and ones I will be throwing out from my list of possibilities. All prices are based on my favorite daily site (Draftkings).

Players I Love:

Steph Curry -$8,600 – Shooters, unintentionally, are the theme of my starts. Curry is no doubt the best shooter the National Basketball League has to offer. While he will be on the road, a shooter can make it rain anywhere. New Orleans is a defense in the bottom half of the NBA so the match up isn’t exactly worrisome. Recently, Curry suffered a head injury but I think he’s fine: 22 PTS with 2 3PM, 11 AST, 3 REB and a STL in his return. If he can come close to those numbers tonight, you won’t be disappointed you spent the $8,600 on the Baby Faced Assassin.

Ryan Anderson – $6,000 – Since returning from injury, Anderson has yet to tally less than 13 points. Golden State allows the 7th lowest opponent 3P% which would turn a lot of people away. However, besides Steph Curry, Anderson is the best 3-point shooter in the NBA. As long as he is healthy and scoring in groves, I have to start him at $6,000. The potential of 7 3-pointers is just too great to pass, especially in the game with the highest projected total. He’s going to shoot ‘em, we’re just going to need him to make ‘em.

Martell Webster – $5,200 – Trevor Ariza was always scheduled to come back tonight. Us daily leaguers were bummed out because this guy was producing big numbers day in and day out. Low and behold, last night it was revealed that Bradley Beal has an injury to his right fibula and will be out for two weeks. Alright then, plug Webster right back into your lineup for what still is a bargain price.

Players I Won’t Use:

Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Bradley Beal, Toney Douglas, Tobias Harris – All inactive tonight

Eric Gordon – Despite playing in the game I want to go all-in on tonight, Gordon has been too cold lately for me to consider. Over his last four games, EG is averaging just 18.4 fantasy points. Tyreke Evans has come into his own. Combine that with Ryan Anderson’s return and it’s taking Gordon time to adjust to his role with a full squad. He should be fine in no time, but in daily, we don’t have any time to spare.
