MNF Injury Report

I’ve already covered most of the major injury happenings here but Monday night wasn’t injury free. Tampa Bay rookie RB Mike James did his best 2012 Muscle Hamster impersonation putting up 164 total YFS against the Seattle Seahawks last week. With Doug Martin being placed on the IR effectively ending his season, James was looking to be a very effective fantasy option for owners heading into the home stretch. He was well on his way to a big game on Monday night running 5 times for 41 yards before injuring his ankle. Initial reports say that he has a small fracture but exactly how severe the fracture is has yet to be determined. Even if it were a minor fracture, they typically take a month to heal if not longer, so unfortunately, I think that the rookie RB’s season is over. We’ll get more clarity over the next few days, but if no definitive news comes back by tomorrow, feel free to drop him for either a playoff stash or a guy who can help you this upcoming week.

Quick updates: Percy Harvin will make his Seahawk debut Sunday, though the coaching staff intends to limit his snaps. That’s what the thought was with Andre Brown last week, and look how that played out. That being said, I’m more confident that the coaching staff really will limit Harvin as they have a bye after this week, and there’s no point in risking Harvin getting hurt against a poor Vikings team…Jay Cutler has already been ruled out for Week 11…Peyton Manning suffered no new damage to his ankle, and is already saying he’ll play Sunday against the Chiefs…There’s still no timetable on Aaron Rodgers‘ return…The Falcons’ coaching staff refused to comment on Tony Gonzalez‘s toe injury…
